Bacon and Kimchi Burger

A classic Korean accompaniment, kimchi, is made from fermented cabbage and chillies. Add a fusion twist to your burger with the traditional Korean staple meeting a Western-style burger.

Beef Patty

  • Beef mince 1.0 kg
  • Onion, finely chopped 1.0 x

Sauce

To Assemble

  • Bacon 750.0 g
  • Burger buns 10.0 x
  • Leaves butter lettuce 10.0 x

To Serve

  • Store bought kimchi 600.0 g

Preparation

  1. Beef Patty

    • Place the beef mince in a large bowl with the onion. Season and use hands to combine. Shape into ten patties, cover, and refrigerate for 30 minutes. 
    • Heat a chargrill or hot plate to medium-high. Cook beef patties until well browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.

  2. Sauce

    • Mix KNORR Thai Sweet Chilli Jam with HELLMANN’S Real Mayonnaise until fully combined.

  3. To Assemble

    • Cook bacon until it is golden and crispy. Drain on a paper towel.
    • Split the burger buns and lightly toast them.
    • Spread both sides of each bun with the prepared sauce. Top with butter lettuce, a beef patty, kimchi, and bacon.

  4. To Serve

    • Serve with spiced beetroot crisps and extra kimchi, if desired.
